My full name is Nguyen Dang Hoang Khang or just James – my English name. I am currently a regular sophomore at Nguyen Huu Huan high school while in tandem a pupil of the London School – Campus 01.
Well, I’m not going to beat about the bush any further and get straight to the point: my whole one year here is an absolutely fantastic journey without a doubt! Unlike my not-so-happy experiences with English previously, the environment here has completely made a change to my somewhat ‘distorted nation’ about language acquisition. To be frank and open, my English was a literal “mess” back then, with that said, attending the London School made my English career blossom. Meeting the faculty here, I regard, is once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, which I grabbed with both of my hands, especially Mr Duc or Mr Duck (a “cuter” name that his students call him by). For me, and most certainly all of his students, it is he who ignites our passion for learning that has been buried deeply, somewhere in our heart. Along with that, logically-arranged curriculums and interesting textbook helped me become more engaged. All of my hard work, and of course, that of my passionate teachers paid off when I registered and aced the EWP test. Also being an audience for other contests apart from EWP, I came to realize how vast knowledge is and how ignorant I am to everything as standing on the stage and speak with such fluency and confidence, which was what my counterparts did, is something I would never dream of even in my wildest dreams. Having undergone such an experience, and having won the first place, I have come to respect all of my teachers, who have always been immensely supportive from the very first day…
Learning at the London School has taught me many things, I came across many people endowed with distinctive talents, thus learning a lot from them as they do from me. Every day, every minute, every second, we never stop challenging ourselves for the better. Thank myself for having trusted the London School that day, and thank you to all of my greatest peers and teachers who guide us to the future.
